Who We Are
Fugro GEOS first set up our weather forecasting operations in Singapore in 1993. The marine services we supplied were expanded in 1999 with the acquisition of Marine Weather Services Pte Ltd to become the dominant supply of weather forecasts in the SE Asian Region. Fugro GEOS then expanded globally by opening an office in Kuala Lumpur in 2000, with the acquisition of the marine forecasting division of IAL EMerates LLC in the UAE in 2000, followed by acquisition of Noble Denton Weather service in the UK in March 2002.
Fugro GEOS currently employs 32 staff in the Weather Services Division of which 28 are fully qualified meteorologists/forecasters. We issue between 260-280 site specific marine forecasts per day from the four offices as well as specialist land forecasts from the UK office, i.e. with forecasts for tower crane operations for the new Wembley Stadium, etc.
